ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SOLUTIONS

1. Drone in The Box

Enhancing business capabilities beyond all expectations

Drone in the Box is an innovative autonomous drone that solves current drone-related issues, such as the limited number of drone controllers available and the limited battery life of 30-45 minutes per charge, which is insufficient for actual deployment in an open space. Drone is the Box is equipped with a program that can set flight time and routes without human controllers. When the battery is low, the drone will simply fly back to the box and replace its battery by itself while the previous battery is automatically recharged. This innovation can be deployed in different businesses for applications, such as aerial photography for cartography, progress tracking in construction sites, anomaly detection in solar farms, and nighttime surveillance in residential villages. For such applications, the drone can save labor and time as well as reduce redundancies and help overcome the current limitations on drone use because once installed, it can be controlled from the command center and from then on utilized to enhance operational efficiency.

2. DRY SHRIMP CLASSIFICATION MACHINE by AI Technology Co., Ltd.

In light of the manufacturing sector’s confrontation of higher production costs and a shortage of labor, companies are rushing to apply technology for efficient and smooth production. A manufacturer of instant noodles with dry shrimp hires as many as 60 workers to classify dry shrimp of 4,000 kilograms a day. Such manual function is considered high expenses, while its accuracy stays at 70% on average.

AI Technology Co., Ltd., SCG’s Thai tech firm, developed a machine prototype for dry shrimp classification by using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. With this dry shrimp classification machine, dry shrimp with required grades will be sorted from dry shrimp with lower grades and foreign items. At first, all of dry shrimp are moved on a conveyor belt, while a vision camera takes photos transmitted to a computer program for interpretation before classification. This machine’s precision is more than 95%. The machine prototype has a shrimp classification capability of 10 kilograms per hour with future extension, aiming to lessen the amount of good dry shrimp and reduce waste of natural resources.

3. Integrated Smart Farming Solutions by SIAM KUBOTA

To enhance farming capabilities and efficiency, SIAM KUBOTA has combined technology, innovation, and farming machinery with agricultural knowledge to produce integrated solutions that farmers can adopt to reduce cost, increase productivity, minimize impact of environmental volatility, as well as generate income and elevate their quality of life sustainably. These solutions consist of the following.

  • Smart Farm Solutions : To advance a transition to smart farming, these solutions employ IoT innovation and technology to reduce potential impact of natural disasters, boost productivity, and promote a better quality of life and society. The smart farm solutions comprise agricultural drones, greenhouses outfitted with solar panels, IoT weather station systems, automatic watering systems, and farming machinery. The goal is to develop one smart farm per region.
  • Land Reform & Rice Field Expansion : Using laser leveling to readjust and level lan
  • KAS Crop Calendar Application : The application facilitates crop planning and comes equipped with a calendar on which users can record data, enabling them to analyze and plan cost reduction and boost productivity with precision. The digital platform thus elevates agricultural knowledge for farmers to accepted standards.
  • Agricultural Drones : These drones can be used to spray crops, thus shielding farmers from risks resulting from exposure to substances. In addition, because spraying can be conducted with greater precision and speed, the drone can help reduce cost and improve the quality of life for farmers.
  • KUBOTA LXe-261 Tractor : The state-of-the-art farming machine comes equipped with a lithium-ion battery – a clean energy technology that enables it to work 3-4 hours per charge on average. With a one-hour fast charge capability, the tractor helps reduce cost and carbon dioxide emissions and support advances towards carbon neutrality.
  • Remote-control Lawn Mower : Remotely controlled, the lawn mowing technology can be deployed for greater precision in gardening or tending of plantations.
  • GNSS Auto Pilot System : The satellite auto pilot technology can enhance farming precision and reduce loss of plantation areas.
  • KIS : The farming machinery status tracking system can notify users when maintenance is required and help enhance the operational efficiency of agricultural machines.

These smart farming solutions help reduce the emission of methane, which is 25 times more potent than carbon dioxide as a greenhouse gas, and increase productivity by 1.5 times in rice cultivation. They also promote zero-burn cultivation, agricultural residue management, and zero broadcast as well as reduce chemical use. By preventing the burning of 67 million tons of crop residues per year, these solutions also help to decrease carbon dioxide emissions as well as soil pollution as a result of reduced use of chemicals in farming.
