SCG, led by Prakit Worawattananon, Corporate Innovation Director of SCG, has been recognized for Leading Innovation & Intellectual Property Organization at South and South East Asia Innovation Awards 2020. SCG is the only Thai organization that received the award. Presented by Clarivate, a leading global provider of innovation and intellectual property solutions, the awards are based on an analysis of leadership in innovations, creation, and patent volume. This year, 28 out of 238 leading organizations in South and Southeast Asia received the awards.
The award is yet another testimony of SCG’s continued success in delivering innovations to fulfill the needs of customers, society, and the environment constantly in the form of research and development and support for collaboration through Open Innovation. Examples include collaboration with educational institutions and research institutions both at home and abroad and expansion in investment in fund of funds and high-potential startups to gain a competitive edge and create concrete business value through innovation development of product and service, innovation, process innovation, and business model innovation. SCG strives to develop intellectual property as a strategic business asset covering IP creation, IP protection, and IP commercialization. The award has reflected SCG’s strong leadership in developing innovation and intellectual property in Asia.
