SCG eco value
SCG places importance on the research and development of products and aims to develop innovative products that both are environmentally friendly and meet the demands of the consumer. This is an important strategy to continually increase the capability of the business.
Environmental labeling is one tool that SCG uses to communicate a product's environmental friendliness to the stakeholders. Currently, SCG's products, such as the SCG brand insulation, COTTO wall tiles and SCG and Tiger brand cement, have been certified with environmental labels from both national and international agencies, namely Green Label, Carbon Label, Carbon Footprint Label and Environmental Choice Label of Australia.
SCG is also the first organization in Thailand to have a self-declared environmental labeling of its products and services under the "SCG eco value" label since 2009. The employed criteria are in accordance with the ISO 14021 standard, Environmental Labels and Declaration-Self-Declared Environmental Claims, in parallel with the needs of stakeholders and analysis of the product life cycle including product design, reduction in raw material, energy and water consumption during production and use, the use of renewable materials and energy, recyclability, waste reduction, and emission of greenhouse gases. A Technical Team has been appointed for considering the labeling of SCG eco value products to ensure their reliability and increase consumer's confidence.
In 2013, SCG has 82 "SCG eco value" products and services certified contributing to 26 percent of revenue from sales, while the target SCG eco value sales volume is one third of revenue from sales in 2015.

 SCG Cement-Building Materials
SCG Portland Composite Cement: reduces greenhouse gas emission during production for at least 70 kilograms per ton of cement.
SCG Chemicals
Shinkolite Acrylic Sheet - DX Grade: saves energy used for thermoforming for at least 10 percent. Windsor Wall Decor System: reduces the heat transfer through the wall and saves the energy for at least 14 percent.
SCG Paper
CS - Super Flute: environmental friendly corrugated paper that reduces the use of pulp for at least 8 percent.
Besides the development of sustainable products and services for consumers and society, SCG also assues the trust in products and services quality and be responsible by developing quality assurance system and effectively response to customer's complaints in order to continuously create customer's satisfaction.
